Nintendo has posted their Financial Results Explanatory Material for the second quarter of the Fiscal Year Ending March 2024, showing the incredible growth the company is still experiencing after the major success of their Nintendo Switch.
One of the most notable things is the sales figures of Pikmin 4, which was released back on July 21st, 2023. The most recent release in the Pikmin series has now reached 2.61 million copies sold, making it the highest-selling entry in the series, surpassing Pikmin 3 Deluxe which sold a total of 2.4 million copies. It’s worth noting that the game achieved over half of its total sales figure in Japan, with Japan accounting for 1.36 million copies, while the rest of the world contributed 1.24 million copies sold.
Pikmin 4 is a strategic video game released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. The game takes you on a journey with a lost astronaut who uses little creatures called Pikmin to find his way off the planet. The player leads these small, plantlike creatures with distinct abilities that they can grow, pluck, guide, and use to overpower enemies.
