Through a press release today, Nintendo announced that they are collaborating with Sony Pictures Entertainment to bring The Legend of Zelda to the silver screen with a live-action film. The film will be produced by Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo, Avi Arad, Chairman of Arad Productions Inc., and directed by Wes Ball. The film will be co-financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., with more than 50% of the financing provided by Nintendo. Fuuka, voiced by Suzie Yeung, is a member of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, an extracurricular after-school club for Persona users at Gekkoukan High School. She takes on the role of navigator, which in the Persona universe, is someone who provides aid in battle.
