Reports have been circulating on social media that Atlus is indeed working on developing Persona 3’s extra chapter ‘The Answer’ as part of the DLC package they will release for the game later on after its initial release.
Persona 3 is the first installement in the series that introduced the ideas we see today in the Persona series like Social Links and the Calendar. ‘The Answer’ is an additional chapter that came with the re-release of the game under the name Persona 3 FES. It was announced early on, after the game reveal, that it would not be included in the base game. However, reports suggest that the upcoming DLC is adopting a business model similar to SEGA’s strategy with their game ‘Lost Judgment’ and its DLC, as an initiative to extend the longevity of their games.
‘The Answer’ is not the only content that was cut from the game in its remake release; the game originally had a female protagonist, which appeared in Persona 3 Portable but did not make an appearance in the remake. Reports say that she will not be included in these DLC plans, making the blue-haired protagonist the sole hero of the saga.
Persona 3 Reload is remake of the acclaimed Persona 3 (2006) and the fourth version of it, Persona 3 stands as the fourth main installment in the Persona series and part of the extensive Megami Tensei franchise, Reload places players back in the shoes of the protagonist. Returning to his hometown ten years after a tragic car accident claimed his parents’ lives, the protagonist discovers the ability to summon a Persona—an embodiment of his inner self. Joining forces with the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.), a group of individuals wielding Personas, they embark on a mission to vanquish Shadows and unravel the enigma surrounding the Dark Hour. Coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox and Steam on February 2nd, 2024 and also available on Microsoft’s Game Pass for no extra charges.
