The fans favorite Tales of Series entry is back! Bandai Namco and developer D.A.G have officially announced Tales of Berseria Remastered, bringing the acclaimed RPG back with enhanced graphics and optimized gameplay for a new generation of consoles. The game is scheduled to launch on February 26, 2026, in Japan and will follow swiftly with a worldwide release on February 27, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam.
This marks the first time Tales of Berseria has been remastered, inviting players to engage in the ultimate quest for self-discovery. The narrative is set in the sacred kingdom awaiting its savior, but it focuses on a lone woman named Velvet who is marked by traumatic deceit. Players join Velvet on her journey for vengeance, accompanied by a cast of eccentric companions, as they sail through the archipelago that comprises the kingdom of Midgand.
At its core, the game presents A Tale of Emotion Versus Reason. Players witness the eternal struggle between the head and the heart as Velvet is challenged to stand by her convictions while the world around her compresses into a system of order. Gameplay features an Exhilarating Combat System where players can freely choose Artes to suit their playstyle and perform a variety of combos, all while collecting enemy Souls to unleash a barrage of powerful attacks for a thrilling battle experience.
This remaster offers A Modern, High-Quality Retelling with useful features that enhance the experience, such as destination markers and the ability to disable enemy encounters, making traversing the islands of Midgand all the more enticing. Players can also revisit the famous Grade Shop from the game’s opening and expect a smooth play experience optimized for the new platforms. Additionally, this version will include several Downloadable Content from the First Iteration, offering a treasure trove of content like character outfits from previous Tales Of games along with useful equipment for the journey.
The announcement, even though it was exciting for me personally was followed by a huge backlash as fans are anticipating even older entries than Berseria, but why can’t we really hope to have it all?
Tales of Berseria Remastered will be available in two primary editions. The Standard Edition will be priced at $39.99 USD (and equivalent regional pricing like £34.99 and €39.99). Pre-ordering the Standard Edition grants the “Super Adventuring Assistance Set,” which includes 10 each of Apple Gel, Peach Gel, Life Bottle, and Panacea Bottle. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $59.99 USD, includes a copy of the game plus several bonus items: the “Battle Background Music Pack,” a digital art book and soundtrack, and the “Super Growth Support Herb Set.” The Deluxe Edition pre-order also includes the “Super Adventuring Assistance Set
