Bandai Namco surprised every Tales fan today during the Nintendo Direct with the comeback of one of the most popular installments in the Tales series, Tales of Graces, with a full remaster slated for release on January 17, 2025, on Nintendo Switch, PS4/5, Xbox, and Steam.

The game, which celebrated its 15th anniversary last December, was first released on the Nintendo Wii and gained even more popularity when it was re-released with an extra chapter on PlayStation 3 under the title Tales of Graces f. The game is also known for being the last installment where all characters were designed by the renowned Tales series artist Mutsumi Inomata, who sadly passed away this March. The release of Tales of Graces f would serve as a fitting homage to her and her spectacular work.

Tales of Graces f is widely known among fans for having the best battle system in the series, where attacks are based on the number of artistic combos and dodges you execute.

The remaster will run at 60fps on PS4/5 and Xbox, 30fps on Nintendo Switch, and up to 120fps on PC. It will also support native 4K resolution on current-generation home consoles and offer the ability to play offline with up to four players in battles.

Here is a comparison showcasing the graphical improvements between Tales of Graces f and Tales of Graces f Remastered.

Tales of Graces f Remastered will be released with all original DLC content and new quality-of-life improvements, starting at $40. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4/5, Xbox, and Steam beginning January 17, 2025.

A Digital Deluxe version will also be available, featuring an artbook based on the Tales of Graces Official Complete Guide released in 2010 and 2011, along with a digital soundtrack that includes 112 background music tracks and 13 newly added tracks from the “Lineage and Legacies” extra chapter.
