    Kemuri

The lively personality, Ikumi Nakamura, took the stage at The Game Awards to announce her first project, KEMURI. It appears to be set in a punk-themed hunting game within a futuristic Japanese metropolis. Before Nakamura’s appearance, an intriguing film introduced her team, named ‘Unseen,’ which discussed the societal invisibility faced by artists. When Nakamura presented the game’s introductory trailer, it seemed to align with the tagline she reiterated throughout her speech: it’s all about ‘seeing the unseen.’

KEMURI promises to summon you into a realm where the unpredictable meets the extraordinary in an urban jungle where mysterious creatures – YOKAI – hide amongst the population and become a Yokai Hunter and use your fox window to unravel the mysteries of the city and bring balance to the world. KEMURI will have a multiplayer where you can dive into a thrilling adventure alone or with friends, hunt yokai in style, collect their powers and face even greater challenges.

Not much is known about the game’s gameplay style or genre, but Geoff Keighley hinted that Nakamura and her team are still in the stage of searching for a publisher. Let’s hope to see it again soon!
