To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series, Bandai Namco is planning a major celebration at its annual Tales of Festival, which is traditionally held at Yokohama Arena, a venue that can accommodate 17,000 fans per day over the two-day event this June.
In their first surprise for fans, the company announced yesterday via its Japanese Twitter account that Korean superstar BoA will be joining the festival’s lineup on the first day.
BoA, one of the three artists in Japan’s history to achieve more than five consecutive #1 albums, known to the fans with her song “Mamoritai ~ White Wishes”, the beloved theme song of Tales of Graces. And more recently, she released “I Believe”, featured as the final opening song for Tales of the Rays. And one would believe that by coming to the Festival she will be performing both songs for the fans.
With the recent release of Tales of Graces f Remastered fans must be anticipating to hear and see BoA for the first time on the Tales of Festival stage. BoA herself is entering her 25th anniversary era as she prepares to celebrate an amazing career and discography span across two countries, Japan and her motherland, Korea.
We hope to see BoA return again to sing for the series in the upcoming titles, it would be a pleasant surprise to have the Queen of KPOP to give us another banger to blast for another decade.
