FromSoftware’s dark gothic masterpiece, Bloodborne, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. To commemorate this milestone, we made a piece of Ermis standing side by side with a fellow Hunter.
Released on March 24, 2015, for the PlayStation 4, Bloodborne was an instant classic that pushed the boundaries of action-RPG design. The game’s intricate world, Yharnam, is a labyrinth of gothic architecture and terrifying secrets. It introduced a faster, more aggressive combat system than other sould-like games.
Beyond its gameplay, Bloodborne is known among its fans for its deep lore, intricate level design, and unforgettable boss battles, which have cemented its place as one of the most influential games of its generation and earned its place next to the Souls games as they are now called the Soulsborne. Over the last decade, the game has become a cultural phenomenon, inspiring countless fan theories, art pieces, and a dedicated community that annually organizes the “Return to Yharnam” event to relive the hunt.
Personally, Bloodborne IS in my top 10 of best video games of all-time, which is something I am thinking to write about in Ermis in the near future.
