A brand new trailer for the highly anticipated “Resident Evil: Requiem” will be unveiled during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. The news was confirmed by host and producer Geoff Keighley via a recent tweet, sending a jolt of excitement through the gaming community.

“Resident Evil: Requiem,” the ninth mainline installment in the beloved Capcom franchise, is poised to take players on a chilling new adventure. The game introduces a new protagonist, FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, who is sent to investigate a series of mysterious deaths at a hotel in no place other than Racoon City itself. The new narrative promises to deliver the signature blend of suspense, action, and puzzle-solving that has defined the series for decades.

Little is known about the specifics of the upcoming trailer, but it is expected to offer a deeper look into the game’s eerie setting, terrifying new enemies, and the plight of its protagonist, and maybe the other character who was rumored to be a professional in using heavy weaponry. “Resident Evil: Requiem” is being developed on Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, the same technology that powered the stunning visuals of “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” and “Resident Evil Village,” and is promised to be the biggest Resident Evil yet.

Gamescom’s Opening Night Live has become a major platform for world premieres for the last few years after the disappearance of E3, and the inclusion of “Resident Evil: Requiem” is a testament of how big this event is becoming. The event is scheduled to stream live globally next Tuesday, August 19th. Be sure to tune in to witness the latest nightmare fuel from the world of Resident Evil.
