    Granblue Fantasy Relink Title

With the release of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, some players may wonder how they can play online with friends or other players worldwide. The game boasts over 100 quests that can be enjoyed with friends, other players globally, or even offline by yourself.

Firstly, you need to play through until you finish Chapter 1: The Western Frontier. Upon reaching the first hub town, Folca, and before leaving for the next quest, the Quest Counter Sidequests will open. Head over there to start accepting quests to play online.

Tip: If you encounter an error stating that the search has failed, don’t worry about it. Try again because the matchmaking system in Granblue Fantasy Relink can be quite finicky.

After talking to the Quest Counter, you will be greeted with a menu to choose whether to “Undertake Quest” or “Play Online.” Select “Play Online” to be directed to another screen.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Multiplayer Session Setting

In this screen, you will be able to set up the session characteristics, which you can change for each session:

    – Region: the region you are connecting from, serving as your local hub.
    – Player Name: this is the name of your captain; change it to identify yourself unless you want the same name as the captain in the story.
    – Spoiler Prevention: this is an important tag, especially early in the game; it will prevent you from seeing story spoilers, including character moves and events.
    – Invite Privilege: determines who in your party can invite people from their list.
    – Join Permission: specifies who can join your session—either friends, friends of friends, or anyone in the world.

After connecting successfully, you will be presented with the Quest Select screen where you can choose the quests you will undertake with your team. These quests will be exclusive to you as the host.

The screen will display all the necessary information, including the rewards and special conditions required to achieve the S++ rank. Take note of the Advised PWR, as it is crucial to determine if you can complete that quest. Also, pay attention to the recommended element for the level, as it will undoubtedly help you become the MVP in that quest.

You will then initiate the matchmaking process, and these are the choices you will have:

    – Matchmaking Method: “Open” will connect you with random players around the region you choose, while “Closed” will limit the game to invited friends in your party only.
    – Matchmaking Region: Choose the area you want, either the one you selected before or anywhere around the world.
    – Play Style: Determine your play style, such as repeating the quest, playing it once, finishing the quest, or breaking as many enemy parts as possible for additional rewards.
    – Power Adjustment: Keep this set to “On” unless you want to play with overpowered and over-leveled players (sometimes choosing this option can lead to faster matches).

After that, all you need to do is press “Ready,” and the matchmaking will start. If you are with a party of friends, you will be transported immediately to the quest. However, if you are playing with other random players, it may take some time to search. If that fails, don’t worry; just keep pressing “Ready” until the perfect match for you is found, and you will be transferred to the quest location (it may take a few tries, so don’t worry about it).
