    Octopath Traveler Sales

Square Enix has officially announced that the Octopath Traveler series has reached a major commercial milestone, surpassing six million units sold worldwide. This announcement comes on the heels of the successful launch of the latest entry, Octopath Traveler 0, which arrived on December 4, 2025.

The latest milestone is largely driven by the release of Octopath Traveler 0, a massive prequel that reimagines the story of the mobile title Champions of the Continent as a premium, non-gacha experience. Unlike its predecessors, which focused on eight independent heroes, Octopath Traveler 0 introduces a customizable protagonist and a central narrative focused on the restoration of a destroyed their hometown, Wishvale.

With the original Octopath Traveler holding strong at over 3 million units sold and the sequel contributing over 1 million, the series has cemented its place as a cornerstone of modern JRPGs. The sustained growth from five million to six million units in just one year highlights a revitalized interest in the franchise as it expands its lore across the continent of Orsterra. For fans who have yet to dive into these stories of “restoration and retribution,” you can get the first entry for a low price now which is the perfect entry point into one of the most visually distinct series in gaming history.
