In the recent State of Play, Sony and Kojima Productions showcased a whopping 10-minute grand reveal of the second chapter of the exotic tale, Death Stranding. The presentation highlighted more of the quirky theme, the story, and provided a release window of 2025!

In this chapter, subtitled ‘On The Beach,’ it appears that the main protagonist, Sam Bridges (played by Norman Reedus), is embarking on a new adventure to connect humanity beyond U.S. borders. From the trailer, it seems he will journey through Mexico and further south, aiming to reunite South America this time around.

The trailer reveals significantly new environments compared to those in the first game, featuring sand dunes, abandoned cities, and rocky terrains.

We also catch a glimpse of Higgs transformed into a robo-samurai character, equipped with an arc welder-like electric guitar. Additionally, there are hints about the fate of BB-28, and several other characters from the previous installment make a return.

The game doesn’t look vastly different from the previous installment in terms of gameplay, but we have been teased with new equipment, gadgets, and vehicles that Sam will be able to use in his mission to change the world.

Death Stranding 2 is coming exclusively on PlayStation with a release window of 2025.
