Supergiant Games is finally ready to let the immortal Princess of the Underworld loose on the big consoles. After launching out of Early Access for PC and Switch platforms late last year, Hades II has officially been given a release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S: April 14.
Even better news for the Xbox crowd? The critically acclaimed god-like roguelike will be available via Game Pass on day one of its console launch.
Hades II takes everything that made the original game a masterpiece and scales it up. Players take control of Melinoë, who is armed with ancient witchcraft and dark magick, as she battles beyond the Underworld to vanquish the Titan of Time. Just like the first game, every run is its own completely unique adventure. The sequel introduces a host of new locations, deeper upgrade systems, witchy familiars to tame, and a massive cast of fully-voiced Olympian gods and monsters.
Whether you are aiming to master the intricacies of the Arcana Altar or just looking to enjoy Supergiant’s signature hand-painted art style and electrifying soundtrack, Hades II is poised to steal hundreds of hours from console players this spring.
If you missed out on the PC or Switch releases, mark your calendars. The Underworld is calling again on April 14.
