All Greenlands Cache Locations in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Cache Locations are points of interest that have hidden treasures in the vast world of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. They are not marked as map legends when you activate the towers; instead, you have to find them yourself all around the map. This guide will help you locate all the cache locations and treasures in the Grasslands.

The Grasslands have seven Cache Locations in total:

    • Thresher Waterwheel Cache
    • Grassy Viaduct Cache
    •  Mako Pipe Junction Cache
    • Forgotten Treads Cache
    • Jadewind Hill Cache
    • Mistveil Reservoir Cache
    • Marshy Mire Cache

    Thresher Waterwheel Cache:

    Rewards: 1 x Mist Potion, 1 x Hi-Potion

You will find this cache location in the Greenlands (a little off from where you start after you leave Kalm), and you will have to find two chests for this quest. You can simply see the number of chests by looking at the chest icon on your map.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Thresher Waterwheel Chche Location

The first chest can be found a little bit to the west of the chest icon on your map; it is right under the huge building on the grass ground. It is really easy to find using the picture guide below:

The second chest was the tricky one for me, and that’s why I am writing this guide for you. It will be a little bit to the east from the first chest location, lying right behind the lone brick wall in the middle, little bit away from where the waterwheel is. That’s why it is tricky. Use the picture guide below to help you find it.

    Grassy Viaduct Cache:

    Rewards: 1 x Potion, 1 x Emerald, 1, x Phoenix Down

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Grassy Viaduct

Grassy Viaduct Cache Location is the probably the second you will encounter. This one is really easy but you need to watch out because it is really linked to the Thresher Waterwheel Cache Location.

To get to that one climb through waterwheel from the Thresher Waterwheel Cache Location into the brick wall and keep moving east along the wall.

Once you reach the biggest drop the quest will start, the rest is really easy to find, the first will be right behind and the other two will be along the wall going east, there are three in total.

    Mako Pipe Junction Cache:

    Rewards: 1 x Lea Titanium, 1 x Grenade

    Majoe Pipe Junction Cache Location

The Mako Pipe Junction Chase is a bit hidden in the western part of the Grassland. It is technically southwest of Kalm. There is a pipeline there that you can’t miss; the location is in the further half of it from Kalm.

This location has two treasures, and they are really not hard to find, but they are a little bit further from each other. Use the picture guide below if you are lost about where either of them is.

    Forgotten Treads Cache:

    Rewards: 1 x Hi Potion, 1000 Gil

This one is hard to miss, as it is in your way to the swamp as part of the main quest. While running over there, you will notice a beat-up Shinra tank by the rocky hill to your left. This one doesn’t really need much explanation, as it has two treasures and both of them are hard to miss around the tank itself.

    Jadewind Hill Cache:

    Rewards: 1 x Potion, 1 x Mixed Potion, 1 x Ether

This is another location with three treasures, but they are practically spread out rather than being together. You can find the Jadewind Hill Cache Location in the eastern parts of the Grasslands. It is hard to miss them because they are technically behind the first Mog House you will encounter in the game.

The first two are really easy to find; they are close to each other and right behind the Mog House.

The third one is a bit further southeast of the Mog House. It is tricky because you would expect it to be closer to the other two, but you will have to hike a bit to reach it.

    Mistveil Reservoir Cache:

    Rewards: 1 x Hi Potion, 1 x Beastman Armband, 1 x Ether

This cache is located in the southern marshes of the Grasslands and does require a Chocobo mount to navigate safely and avoid the Midgardsormr (a Final Fantasy VII classic).

To reach this location, swim along the western side of the swamp, watching for man-made structures on the riverbank. Climb the red staircase there to reach the top of the reservoir (there will be a red owl helping you find your way there for another intel location).

The first chest will be super visible to you a bit to the right of the stairs, on the floor under the water tank.

For the second chest, you will have to climb back up and go to the area opposite to it. There will be monsters there, but you can snatch it before you get detected.

The final chest is located at the top of the reservoir. Climb the ladder near where the first two chests are, then proceed all the way around to the back of the building.

    Marshy Mire Cache:

    Rewards: 1 x Hi Ether, 1 x Ruby

This one is another easy snatch of two chests, but it is easily missed because you will definitely be tempted to go to the Mythral Mine instead of heading there. For sure, you will need a Chocobo initially for this. As you are heading towards the mines, take a detour to the right to continue your way through the marsh in the opposite direction from where you came from. There is a dead end, but that’s where the chests are.
